This audiobook is an example of why authors shouldn't narrate their own books. The flat narration almost had me putting this book down at multiple points.
Almost, but every time I thought of doing so, the end of the chapter would hook me in and I'd wind up reading more. The flashbacks tied back into the story in a necessary way but somehow still felt clunky. The rest of it? I couldn't put it down.
