Incest: From A Journal of Love: The Unexpurgated Diary of Anaïs Nin, 1932-1934
by Gunther Stuhlmann, Rupert Pole, Anaïs Nin
im so glad i discovered nin this way. she is wonderful and inspiring and i am surprised with the way that i've been exposed to people talking about her. you'd think she deserves much more credit for being a complete genius but?? i suppose that i'm aware to the extent that she is well loved and praised but i hear a lot of mixed to low opinions such as shes annoying etc. these unexpurgated journals are probably way more satisfying to read and true to her voice, her characters' as well as her own personal continuity, the intricacies of her life's intuitions and general intentions. she is liked a many layered cake, delicious and a fucking lie. i love how she describes herself as rooted like seaweed
