The Burning Shadow by Jennifer L. Armentrout

Almost as good as the first book. I love this book but I didn't enjoy it as much as the first one (this might be because I'm going into a fantasy hangover soon, so I'll switch genre).
I liked the ending but it was kind of predictable (I had predicted the ending revelation), but the other stuff took me by surprise which I enjoyed discovering. But it was so annoying when I got to figure out things chapters before the characters, I needed to tell them to open their eyes sooner.
I don't think I will read the Lux series because with this book I found out basically everything about these books. But I wished that I had read them at the time because I think that I would be more familiarized with the events that are mentioned in this book and the characters. I won't say that I never gonna read those books, but probably not. Also, from this book, I dislike deeply Daemon, he sounds like a douche, I understand why he was mad but, dude, he was rude to a horrible extent.
I loved the characters and the plotline of this book. So much deeper and serious than the last one. There is so much at stake in this book, that I'm nervous about what will happen in the next book. Everything becomes so much complex, complicated, and... wider.
I still love the whole Nadia/Evie thing, it is so interesting to see how they are the same and different people. Also, I love Luc, he is so chaotic and intense, and I love him.
Overall, I really liked the book and I will continue with the next one as soon as possible. One of my favorite series from JLA. I still adore her writing style.
SPOILERS:
I hated that Kent died, I loved him. He was one of the best characters in the book, I loved that he was so good and funny. I don't know why wasn't the other dude that is mean all the time the one who died. I'm still mad, Kent deserved better.
