I'm Glad My Mom Died
by Jennette McCurdy
You know what…I don’t think I ever want to be a celebrity.
Well written, Jennette. It was a compelling story, and must have been hard to write but I’m glad you did. So so glad. It must’ve been so hard to do, laying out all of your trauma and history on paper for the world to see. But you are amazing.
We need more people to talk about these heavy topics, and I think you did it in a very relatable and human way. The abuse growing up, the bulimia, the alcohol. It’s not easy.
I love that you narrated it yourself, and I loved the writing style. It was fast-paced, to the point, and did not get flowery or dive deep into things. Kind of a “this is it. This is how it happened” attitude.
I will definitely read more of your books in the future, and I wish you the best of success! You are an amazing writer and I believe you found your calling. I hope you are much happier in this career path :)
