A reflective foray into the supernatural, that felt somewhat light-hearted despite heavy themes..Definitely a book that will make you hungry. While this dove *very* deep into the main character's romance in the latter half of the book, the book offered some poignant reflections on grief and its connection with food and taste. As we watch people starve in Gaza, that also elicits an extreme grief, and this book is a reminder that one way to honor those who have been lost is to keep their culinary traditions alive.
