Oh my goodness I LOVED this one! Bar none, my favorite book so far in the Legacy of Gods series! So much emotional depth from both Bran and Niko. The mental struggles and self-hatred and absolutely devastating thoughts had me fully invested and shipping their relationship from the very beginning. Nikolai's inner monologue and personality were PERFECT! I listened to this one and Niko was performed by Teddy Hamilton, which was AMAZING and I don't think could've been any better! I'm not sure I've ever been so consistently entertained from an audiobook! I had to stop listening to write down a quote from Niko to Bran because it completely melted my heart: "Baby, even if you hate yourself, I'll love you for the both of us." The way that both Bran and Niko supported and healed each other was completely heartwarming. I really wasn't expecting Bran's backstory at all but it was utterly devastating. I really enjoyed getting to see Landon from Brandon's perspective too, after seeing him in every other book in the series. I adored their reconnection and unbreakable twin bond. It was honestly so good and you'll love it too, especially if you enjoy MM romances with a lot of grit and angst and tension and finding yourself and healing and spice!
