I adore Fae’s Christmas Daddies series, but I couldn’t get into this one. I don’t mind a long book where it makes sense but I found myself skimming the last 30%. 

The side characters were over the top, but well-meaning. The jokes didn’t really land and most of the length of this book was taken up by over-explaining. There was no subtext to enjoy and connect the dots.

And for as much space as Brendon took up in this book I was hoping for a more explosive reckoning

I will totally continue to support this author as some of their other books are wonderful, but this one didn’t do it for me.
