I Want to Die but I Want to Eat Tteokbokki by Baek Se-hee

reflective fast-paced

2.0

this book tackles an interesting subject but the writing felt pretty bland and it made the reading experience a little tedious. it didn't really feel like if had any real message either, very surface level. it might be that some things are lost in translation though!

all in all the author's actual reflections on her therapy sessions were interesting enough but the transcripts were way too long and i'm sorry but some of the therapist's suggestions were not it at all. once again, cultural differences and all that. tteokbokki remains an excellent reason to stay alive.
