This was a deep and raw depiction of the generational trauma slavery caused for two lineages that were unknowingly related. Then the ending was a beautiful way to show healing from the bad and the reuniting of long lost souls. I also loved how each time we got introduced to a new character we were able to connect them to a previous history. Very very high on my list. Would read again honestly.
