MATT AND LANE ARE PERFECT. This is the perfect book. Once again I can’t believe this is the first time I’m reading it, when it’s literally been in my radar since Hannah initially released it AND I have the indie paperback. But still I am somehow happy I waited?? It feels like this was the right time?? It was the perfect time to read Matt and Lane’s messy, imperfectly perfect friends to lovers story.

I LOVE LANE SO MUCH. Her soft heart, the way she LOVES, the way she’s so quick to cry, the way she feels so lost, the away she’s heavily grieving her dad. Everything about her makes me love her so much. I loved watching her grow and change throughout the story, finally finding some peace with her family, finally finding a way to grieve in a way that doesn’t necessarily hurt so much. Her finding herself again, and then being able to be there for Matt the way he deserved was done SO beautifully. I LOVED that she was able to find Matt’s family. Just like Matt, they were exactly who she needed in her life.

AND MATTHEUS TILO-JONES. IS. THE. PERFECT. MAN. The way he loved Lane SO MUCH. So. Much. He is so patient and kind and nurturing and giving and so easy going. He was the perfect match for Lane, just as he was for her. I loved when we got to see Lane and Matt’s dad talking and being able to see him in comparison to his mother, that they just want to give and give and give. Having his dad really explain that to Lane really helped her, and helped us as the reader SEE Matt.

I love this little family that Hannah has created. and being able to see where everyone is and ends up was so beautiful.

Thank you SO MUCH to Dell - Random House for this gifted copy!! It was such a sweet surprise and I will be forever grateful!!!!
