”Humans tends to regret the life they never lived and the choices they never made”

This was such a stunner of a book.
I had no idea what to expect. I simply started listening to the audiobook because the title was intriguing and the cover was beautiful.

I am such a sucker for any book that leaves you contemplative. If cats disappeared from the world is not a cutesy little story about cats. But it was beautiful.

There is so much beauty in everyday life that goes unnoticed. The flowers we pass on our walks, the animals we take care of, the love and appreciation of our loved ones, the sight of people in love.
Life is too short to not speak to that person. To not make that phone call. To not try out new things
To not have a dream.

”Life is full of regrets anyway. I was never able to be myself completly or live my life exactly how i wanted to. I’m not even sure if I ever figured out what being myself and living out my dreams really meant.”

It doesn’t cross our minds to figure that out until it’s too late.

I’ve never taken the time to diversify my reading. I’ve plainly read books that shows up on my feed on tiktok, instagram and goodreads. And they have been majority by british, american or any western author. But after this, I will definitely pick up more japanese (and generally asian) literature because wow.
