This book is doing something so important, bringing the reader into the world of an abused child. It feels so claustrophobic for much of the time, in a way that really works. And the ending is just so satisfying. There are some parts in the middle that didn't quite hold my interest, but that may be because I'm an adult, so I'm not the target audience.
