Perfect book I wish I had read sooner! Beautiful and violent, Red Rising is the first in the series. A dystopian novel that deals with oppression and the caste system keeping it in place. The systematic slavery of our MMC's people is the start of this story, where "low colours" (Reds) work hard and die young & starving while Golds live in luxurious abundance.
I quickly became enamoured with the characters, and found myself angry, crying and laughing throughout. I questioned my own morals. I cheered brutality.
I will be continuing the series.
