Hamlet: Poem Unlimited by Harold Bloom
3.0

Maybe because I'm not used to reading academic criticism, I wished there had been less reiteration of reverence for Hamlet/Hamlet/Shakespeare and references to other works but more connection/refinement of the ideas. Bloom seems to me to speak a lot in superlative reverence in interviews/shorter articles and I was hoping for a more academic and explanatory dive in to the aesthetics, etc. of the play. However I do feel that I am beginning to understand Hamlet at least a little more thanks to this book.
