Unlike most sequel, The Well of Ascension does not suffer from "The Sequel Syndrome". The novel continues to be action-packed, cinematic, and fascinating with an even deeper world building than the first novel. The character work just keeps getting better.
Brandon Sanderson's writing is just as beautiful and fun as his previous novels. The world building for the Cosmere is a fun addition to this already great trilogy.
