A Lady's Guide to Fortune-Hunting by Sophie Irwin

5.0

I truly loved this book. I don't read a lot of romances without spice these days, but when I do it's almost always a regency romance. Because the YEARNING is incredible. This is the slowest of slow burns. Our characters really get time to know each other, to understand each other, to help each other before anything even vaguely romantic happens.

The characters in this story are excellent! I loved Kitty, our delightfully flawed protagonist. I loved Radcliffe, our hypocritical stick-in-the-mud. Their banter was chef's kiss.

And when we got to the end I was gasping and near tears! I was so invested in everyone involved because Sophie Irwin did such a great job setting them all up.

Such a triumph. Will be reading more from Irwin!
