The Summer Cottage by Viola Shipman

5.0

Have you ever read a book and wanted to instantly be in the book? To be friends with the characters and have a house just like there’s?.
.
Well, this book did just that! I instantly fell in love with it. And I now officially want a Summer Cottage! .
The book focuses on the importance of family, making memories yet not forgetting the old ones, and living life to the fullest.
.
We follow the main character Adie Lou as she discovers her true self in her search for happiness. Making the decision to restore her family’s summer cottage and make her parents proud will force her to come to terms with life’s events.
.
The writing style was easy to follow and I felt it flowed perfectly. No moments of who’s who or who’s saying what. Great characters that are easily relatable. I had all the feels while reading this book. I laughed, I cried (just a tear or two), I felt happiness and sorrow. Such an easy read, I would have finished it in one day if I didn’t have to stop to go to a family dinner.
