A Crown of Aconite
by Elena H. Covens
4,5★
First of all! Thank you, Elena, for the opportunity of reading the advanced copy of thi absolute masterpiece.
"I would suffer a thousand lives of loneliness if it meant I could keep you in this one.”
ִ⋆ ࣪"Who did this to you" trope
ִ⋆ ࣪Forced proximity
ִ⋆ ࣪Mystery & romance
ִ⋆ ࣪Enemies to lovers
ִ⋆ ࣪Dark fantasy
WARNING: CLIFFHANGER !!
I was so not ready for this. I mean...THE PLOTWISTS?!?!
Audrey Wyvern, Warrior of the Seventh Kingdom, must cross the Fae border and break the fifty-year treaty in order to secure her.peoples safety. However, it doesn't go as well as she planned, and a ghost from her past re-entered her life.
Azra agrees to make a deal with her, and even tho she is ready to stab him with her sword, she agrees.
Determined to get her freedom back, she puts herself at risk, trying to discover everything that ever happens, is happening, and will happen.
With usurpers lurking in the darkness, creatures borne of legend, a sickness threatening the survival of her people, and a man she knows she can never trust enough to love; she must choose a side.
I was so enthralled by this book that I didn't notice time pass.
I fell in love with Azra's complexity and Audrey's bravery.
Their moments had me giggling and kicking my feet as well as giving me the urgent need to punch them.
I spent the WHOLE book knowing what would happen, but then THE ENDING?!? I was so shocked. I just feel like screaming and crying and PLEASE!! Someone read this so I can speak about it!!
