The Poison Tree by Erin Kelly

5.0

It took me a few chapters to get into the book but once I did, I found it enthralling. The writing style reminds me a lot of my favorite author Ruth Rendell and the novels she wrote under the name of Barbara Vine. The Vine novels are compelling and mesmerizing psychological tales that keep you guessing until the end. "The Poison Tree" which alternates between present and past and reveals subtle character traits that slowly build throughout the book. I really enjoyed this and am looking forward to reading more of her books.
