The Book of Etta by Meg Elison

5.0

A fantastic follow-up that I enjoyed more than Book 1, largely because of how interesting it was to follow the character's trek through the different ways different societies had come up with for dealing with their post-apocalyptic reality. Etta and Eddy's journey into a world with more shades of grey and more understanding of themself was simultaneously grim, hopeful, mystical, and empowering.
