Chronicle of a Death Foretold by Gabriel García Márquez
5.0

Really good story telling! Told in retrospect the narrator is quite literally chronicling the death of his friend that was foretold. His murderers told just about everyone in town that they were going to kill him to supposedly avenge their sisters honor— but everyone has an excuse for why they did not prevent the events from occurring. I bought this copy from a library sale and the periodic illustrations were a nice tough. Quick read, I recommend!
