Total Eclipse by Rachel Caine

After the events of the last book, both Joanne and David are now powerless mortals. We spend far too much of the beginning wallowing and not doing anything about it.
Then we have a quarter of the book where they're fruitlessly trying to get their powers back, trying to talk to the oracles, and generally surviving in a post apocalypse type world. That part was really bleak, and there was a murderous mob scene that gave me the creeps.
At about the halfway mark the action really starts and it's all a rollercoaster from there. This half of the book is so much better. It's like the beginning was just filling pages to get to the good stuff.
Unfortunately, it ends with one of the Dumbest Endings EVER. Ugh. I'm so disappointed.
