The Words
by Ashley Jade, A. Jade
This book gets a 1 star from me because of the bait-and-switch in the middle.
Ashley Jade seems to have two styles of writing - one that I would call normal and a second style that has a lot of over-the-top drama on the plot (OTT for short).
I love her normal books, and I don't like the OTT books.
This book starts as a normal one, and at 50% proceeds into ridiculous plot-filling levels of OTT, zingers and quips, and drama, and toxic relationship that are just draining from the amount of eye-rolling.
So, I eyeroll myself out at 50ish %, when the lost little sister of Phoenix joins the plot.
