Jonny Appleseed by Joshua Whitehead
4.0
I tried to read this a while back and I was just not in the headspace for it. But I’m so glad I don’t rate books I don’t finish.
Because once I understood how the story is primarily non-linear and more character focused, I really enjoyed it.
I liked how it showed the nicer moments in Jonny’s life with the not so nice moments because it painted a very realistic story. I also like Jonny as a protagonist because he is very flawed, but he is so well humanized that you want him to be happy.
Highly recommend it, but it is DEFINITELY for 18+.
