So glad I'm done with this. The only reason I even finished was because the book is very thin, otherwise there would have been no reason to give a pathetic little wanker like the protagonist any time of my day. I wasn't interested in his obsession with the gun, it felt forced even from the POV of his sociopathic, misogynistic little brain. Nakamura is known for writing unlikeable characters but he wasn't only unlikable but also totally uninteresting, the world did not need a book about a guy like him. I won't be reading another one of his works, feels like a waste of energy.
