Brightly Shining
by Ingvild H. Rishøi
While this novel certainly has the Christmas feeling and Baltic charm, it was just fine. It struggled finding a central theme to focus on, which didn’t allow the plot to feel linear and made for a jarring reading experience as it’s such a short book (192 pages; 2 hr. 58 min. audiobook). I wish it just picked one theme to fully dive into, rather than popcorn-ing around.
