Know My Name by Chanel Miller

5.0

"As a survivor, I feel a duty to provide a realistic view of the complexity of recovery."

This quote from the book is a great description of what it was all about.

I wouldn't say that I 'enjoyed' this book because the subject matter was very tough and the descriptions of how flawed the judicial system can be were difficult to hear. However, this book deserves 5 stars because it is BEAUTIFULLY written with descriptive scenes and wonderful story snippets strewn throughout. It also felt authentic. Miller discusses what adverse affects her situation had on her mentally and emotionally.

This book is a must-read.
