How to be Both (2014) by Ali Smith is a telling of two stories, one from medieval and one from the medieval, that intertwine in a quick-witted fashion that strums heartstrings here and there. I zipped through it from a train ride from the South of France to Paris. The words on the page are Random House big and bold, and the paragraphs melt into each other, without breaks, and keeps your head in this delightful book.
