“There are more things in heaven and Earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy.”

I don’t know how I stumbled across Fury’s Kiss but I am really ecstatic that I did. 4.5 Kick Ass Heroine Stars.

This is the debut novel by Ms. White and it has everything that it should have. Humour, suspense, love, a grouchy Hero and a strong headed heroine. The secondary characters only added to the story and the detail that was created.

I actually read this book in one sitting and informed my hubby to leave me alone. Bless him, he is very patient when it comes to my reading addiction.

Jackson Bryne is a broody, gorgeous man with some demons. Who doesn’t believe in supernatural, really it had it coming. He is judgmental but the situations that Tara puts herself in, he in the end does save the day. He tries to deny the chemistry between them but they fail.

Tara Walker is a waitress but one day she would like to fulfil her dream of opening up a restaurant. After a date gone horrible bad and meeting the guy of her dreams that ignores her. You’d think her day couldn’t get any worse, right? Wrong. She fights for her life and does the unthinkable. She gains powers and ally she never thought could happen. Due to some witnesses things get complicated.

Tara is a strong heroine and takes everything in stride.

I’d killed a man and cursed another, been beaten up and shot at, and been mistaken for a prostitute in the past twenty-four hours.

With the help of her awesome friends Rachel and Alex they get to the bottom of it. But evil is still hot on their heels.

So with finding out that Tara is a Fury, there also being the New England Serial Killer in the area. The crazy neighbour Mrs. Hadley who is an absolute riot. Ruby the mini oracle who needs saving along with her mother Nora. Being on the run from the FBI and fighting pure evil what more could you want to stop leading a boring life.

What I liked is that the story is original and it isn’t based on the point of view from the Greek God and their Posse but that the Furies get to shine, avenge and kick some serious butt. The world building, there was never a dull moment when it came to this book.

That there was a balance between Tara coming to terms with Alecto the fury in her and herself without giving up her identity. Alecto really wants her sisters though Tisphone and Megaera and guess who they are. Yep, Alex and Rachel. Alex is up next and I can’t wait. I do have two questions though, is Tara now immortal? If yes what about Jackson?
