I'm relatively new to comics, and this is the first Batman comic I've read. I have seen some Dark Night movies, but that's about it. I love Dave McKean's art, so I picked this up. It's trippy at times, and a bit confusing. I enjoyed the emotional aspect a lot, and how the art really portrays what's going on in the characters' heads. I probably would have got more out of it if I knew more about the Batman universe. Overall, enjoyable enough. Maybe I'll read it again down the road after reading more Batman.
