Our House
by Louise Candlish
I feel so accomplished for finally trudging through this! 👏🏻
In “Our House”, Fi is shocked to come home to find strangers moving into her home. She’s insistent that there must be some mistake, and through a past/present narrative it’s revealed to us what’s really going on.
I’m sorry, but this book was SO boring. I’ll admit that the first chapter had me intrigued, but it was all down hill from there. The plot took a completely different turn than what I was expecting, and it’s really all just a lot of talking with no action or suspense. I read a lot of thrillers, and IMO this does not read like a thriller at allllll.. Id say closer to chick-lit with a dash of “mystery”. I debated between 1 and 2 stars and ultimately settled on 2 because although I hated the book, the beginning and very end were somewhat interesting. Can’t say I recommend this one!
