After reading Giovianni’s by James Baldwin I fell in love with his writing. I think I preferred this, I enjoyed how he shows the different relationships of love and the lengths you would go for those people, along with how he showed how corrupt the justice system is. But within all the complexities of injustice and suffering, how there is always hope and love to power through.
