Lenora is incredibly relatable and I really liked her. She's sassy and funny and pretty sweet when she's feeling vulnerable.
I also love Ramanu even more now. We've only really seen his playful nature and a tiny hint of how caring he can be up until this point but this volume explores his character a lot more and he is an absolute treasure. He's protective without being overly possessive and he's really very sweet.
We didn't interact too much with side characters, as with most of the other volumes, but it didn't feel shoehorned when we did which us good. Hate Lenora's ex though. What a slimeball.
Atmosphere: 8
Horniness is a given but there was also some really interesting dynamics in this one. There was tension and drama that you could actually feel, with a tournament and a market based in the Witch community that I found really fun to explore.
Writing Style: 9
I didn't notice as many jarring little mistakes that slipped through the editing process in this one, which greatly improved the reading experience and felt more familiar in terms of other novels I've read by this author. This kind of writing is the whole reason I'm now working through their back catalogue.
Plot: 9
This one was JUICY. And, my favourite part (some people might consider this a tiny spoiler) is that there was no third act break up! We moved organically through a story arc that actually seemed to have weight and consequences for each of the choices the MCs made rather than just "oh look, they're falling in love and making mistakes", there's a wider plot, even though it's still a short read with a lot of spice and as a plot heavy kinda girl, this one is my favourite in the series so far.
Intrigue: 9
I genuinely wasn't really sure how this one was going to resolve itself which was really fun, it kept me guessing and renewed my interest in the series.
Logic/Relationships: 9
Ramanu and Lenora developed a pretty healthy relationship, they discussed boundaries, preferences, trust and worked together on compromises to move forward with facing their issues and I really appreciated that it was very much equal between them, it made it that much more believable and enjoyable to read.
Entertainment: 10
The only reason this one took me as long to finish as it did was that I went away and just didn't really have time to do ANY reading for about 2 weeks. Whenever I did get the chance to read this one, I didn't want to stop. Thoroughly enjoyed all the banter, shenanigans and spicy scenes.
