frustrating at times because leah's chapters were so interesting while miri's were significantly longer and felt like collections of unrelated thoughts, but when i stopped trying to read it as if it were a conventional story and just took it as a metaphor and exploration of losing someone i was like oh...OH....

so when miri lowered leah into the sea and watched her literally melt away something in me completely shattered...

so haunting and beautiful
