With each book, I love Jackaby and Abigail more and more. This time, the murder of their resident ghost, Jenny, is being investigated. At the same time, a murder similar to what happened to Jenny came to their attention. There's more supernatural aspects in this book, which I like. Of course, Charlie, Abigail's love interest, is also back to help with the case. Most importantly, we find out the backstory of Jenny. Why did she become a ghost? (Not every dead person becomes one.) How did Jackaby come to own and live in her house? We also find out about Jackaby`s past and how he came into his special gift. If you`re a fan of this series, definitely pick this book up.
