The Gifts of Imperfect Parenting: Raising Children with Courage, Compassion, and Connection by Brené Brown
5.0
Fantastic book about relating to children, especially related to vulnerability. I'm not that familiar with Brene Brown's other works - I haven't read them, I just know a little bit about them from what people have told me. So I went into this learning about shame and vulnerability as related to parenting. It was probably a good intro into her work for me, since I don't love self-help... But I do like parenting books.
The examples in this book were spot-on in explaining the concepts. Every example about Ellen was profound to me. This is a book I'll revisit and made me eager to read some of Brene Brown's other books.
