A Nefarious Engagement by Lynn Messina

3.0

This book severely lacks the Duke's presence and it suffers for it. The whole point of this unlikely duo is their interactions. The mystery in this book felt quite formulaic, but this could just be me getting to familiar with the author's style of writing.

I'm glad it picked up immediately after the end of the third book, but then it had Bea mostly on her own trying to solve a mystery. This is not as much fun as when her and the Duke are both involved.

It was still enjoyable, just not as good as the previous three books.
