Unlikeable characters does not cause me to dislike a book. Unlikeable characters in a boring book that should have been a novella, does.
Illogical, needy, immature, whinney wife, a big stupid for a husband, and his corny, manipulative best friend, surrounding a crime best committed by unlikeable characters in a fast-paced, riveting book, would have been more to my liking. This was definitely a snooze fest.
