What????! What the hell, Sophie?? That was just crap! What the hell happened to Lexi? How and why did the big change occur? I checked the e-book out from the library; was it missing part - a huge part - of the story? Just one day she has started a new business with her old friends? Did she quit her old job? What was with the code covered paper she found in her desk drawer? What was the off shore account? Just...what??!
EDIT: From what I can ascertain from book summaries, my e-copy from the library downloaded incorrectly, cutting out some of the chapters. Therefore, it might not be as bad a novel as my review might indicate.
EDIT II: So I went to the library and got the physical book. The e-book had indeed downloaded improperly, omitting several chapters. I have now read the complete book, and while it still wasn't one of my favorite Sophie Kinsella books, it is not as bad as I thought. I will amend my star rating from one to two.
