Two sisters, separated at birth and orphaned must fight to survive. Rose was raised to be queen, never knowing she had a twin sister. Wren was raised as a witch, knowing about Rose and that her destiny was to steal the crown. At the beginning of the book Wren and Shen kidnap Rose, and Wren takes Rose’s place. She then discovers she is betrothed to a foreign Prince and her coronation is under threat. I loved the dual POV in this book. As soon as the two love interests hit the page for the first time I knew that was how it would unfold but I was quite pleased with how it did. And that ending, what a doozy. Can’t wait to pick up the sequel.
