Ginny and Cameron are married with a 3-year-old daughter. From day 1 Ginny has had problems being a mother. For one Skylar came out of the womb screaming and hasn’t stopped since she doesn’t sleep through the night and both parents are just plain exhausted. Ginny befriends a woman named Alex in the park one day and after a while, the truth is revealed that she is a therapist. And now Ginny is seeing Alex as a patient. Ginny has severe postpartum that has gone untreated too long. She also suffers from depression and anxiety. It’s a toxic mix.
Ginny begins therapy and leaves everything to Cameron. Cameron develops a bond with Skylar, which Ginny resents.
Alex is secretly seeing Cameron also, but it goes from therapy into an affair. And the book turns upside down. Skylar goes missing in the middle of the night. Everyone is a suspect. Including the parents. This is a fast whodunit thriller that I thoroughly enjoyed!
