I fell in love with the series because it was a HARD sci fi, and while those roots are still there, it's definitely more fantastical now. However, I just love the crew of the Rocinante so much. How they deal with the trials of the gates and Laconia is intriguing, and the characters, both new and old, feels like family. I'm almost scared to finish the series.
