Dune by Frank Herbert
3.75
adventurous tense slow-paced

The world building is fascinating and it is clear why this is considered a modern classic and a basis to which other sci-fi works are constantly compared to. However, even though I generally enjoyed the book, it is not the easiest read, the pace is quite slow, a lot of important information is mentioned in passing or not at all, it is sometimes difficult to distinguish between characters, I had to constantly flip to the terminology for unknown words.
