I received this book as an advanced reader copy in exchange for my honest review.

As Samkiel’s power fills the sky, Nismera strives to solidify her spot on the throne, no matter the cost. Dianna continues to struggle with half-truths, lies, and trust. Samkiel strives to heal, but he has more on his plate than ever before. The Hand is dismantled, the realms are in turmoil, and the one person he can trust keeps him at arm’s length.

Overall I enjoyed this book, but it honestly it felt a little bit of a very long filler book. There are so many POVs it gave me whiplash, weird flashbacks to events we never saw mentioned previously, the pacing can be very slow, and our main characters struggling with the same issues we have seen since book one.

All the same - touch them and die, I would burn this world for you, and lots of spicy goodness to keep you engaged.

I enjoyed it, the expanding of the world into new realms was exciting, I loved getting to know some of the background characters more, and it ended on an even more insane cliffhanger than the last that has me awaiting book four.
