What a brilliant book (with a little draft) back in the day Adam Silvera wrote it. I love that bonus material too because I know a little about the process Adam in writing this book. At first, I put this book on my dnf shelves after reading 40 pages on it. Sorry for not knowing how beautiful the story was at that time.

This book is beyond amazing even we got spoiled right from the first time we read the title of it; it's okay for me. The content made me ugly cry. Both Mateo and Rufus are definitely friends for life; even soulmate.

I even have some of my favourite quotes from Mateo on this book. Such as :

1. "My afterlife is like a home theater where you can rewatch your entire life from start to finish. And let's say my mother invited me into her theater — I could watch her life. I just hope someone knows what parts should fade to black so I'm not scared my entire afterlife.

-Mateo Torrez.

2. "No matter what happens, we all have our endings. No one goes on, but what we leave behind keeps us alive for someone else."

-Mateo Torrez.

3. "I like the Last Friend app. There I was, looking for some company, and I found you and you found me, and we chose to meet up because of gut instinct. What would've been the alternative? I can't guarantee I would've ever left here, or that our paths would've crossed. Not with one day left. It would make for a great story, yeah, but I think the app puts you out there more than anything else. For me, it meant admitting I was lonely and wanted to connect with someone. I just wasn't counting on what I have with you."

-Mateo Torrez.

Thank you, Adam Silvera for writing this such a cool book and give me insights about humans and death. How people deal with grief. A chance to stay 'alive' in a memory. This book surely brought me to tears (I can't lie that this was sad!😢). But, this was so fuckin' amazing read.

I just realized it when I decided to continue instead of dnf. Reading They Both Die At The End is like reading someone's diary; waiting for their untimely death (or not😅). Thank you for the experience, Adam!
