I loved the unreliable narrator / mixed perspectives / interview format of this book, and thought it made a unique way of telling a story that may otherwise feel familiar. I also appreciated the complexity of the characters - unlike the TV show, this avoids falling into the trap of becoming a simplistic will-they won't-they and instead is a far more interesting exploration of addiction and rock culture in the 70s.
Whilst it still falls into cliche at times, particularly with Billy and Daisy, it's the supporting cast of characters that make this book stand out. A super enjoyable read!
