Lying Game by Ruth Ware

Did not finish book. Stopped at 80%.
This book was unendingly boring with a plot that I couldn't figure out. As in, I wasn't sure what the story was actually about, if there was a mystery, and what I was supposed to be reading.

The language was hard. It was too flowery and almost every chapter she used the phrase "I don't know what I was expecting, but it wasn't this."

I didn't really like or care about any of the characters. I actively hated the baby who was given enough time/word space to actually be considered a main character. Only, all she did was cry.

I read a summary to see if the book would ever get to a point where I'd be invested and intrigued in what happened, and I kept reading for a good spot to jump back in until I got to the end. Once I got to the end, I rolled my eyes and marked the book as "Did not finish."

Glad I didn't waste another 5 hours on this.

I'd much rather have read a young adult novel about the 5 girls living through their past before getting kicked out of boarding school.
