This book is very short and all I can say is that I'm glad of that. It takes the premise of Kafkas Metamorphosis and switches it around and adds a bunch of unfunny political satire.

It's very heavy-handed with its themes and all subtlety is out the window. The whole concept is of a cockroach becoming human and running a political party. The whole idea of the metamorphosis is only there so Ian MacEwan can call politicians cockroaches. It plays no other relevance in the plot and if you took it out nothing would really change.

It's just a clear Brexit analogy and not a very tasteful one. It just seems like a quick way for the writer to have a dig at the government and you can tell it was hastily written with its lack of substance or quality.

I would say to save your time and money and give this book a miss.
