I had a difficult time reading this novel. From the odd way Diane Setterfield decided to word things to the odd and regretfully off putting phrase selection. Many times a sentence had more than two ands, something I was taught in EVERY creative writing class I have ever took, was a No No. I just couldn't get into this novel and I tried multiple times and on multiple occasions. I can't even bring myself to give it a rating. That's how little I read of it.
