I loved this series the first time I read it, and the movies are a guilty pleasure of mine! However, it certainly is not a "deep" read and filled with problems. The thing about books is, they don't all have to be masterpieces. Sometimes it's nice to read a fun easy book that you don't take seriously. This particular re-read is for my niece who is obsessed with the books and wants to read them but she's only 10 so trying to gauge them. She's been granted permission for first book/movie and now I move onto the second one!
